Understand

My skill lies in being able to understand what your vision is (or help you create one!) and translate that into a beautiful garden design or planting plant. I like to find out a bit about you, the style of garden you like, colours and materials that appeal (or as importantly, don’t!) and what you want (and what you need) from your garden

Consult

I come and meet you for a free consultation, understand your space, how it fits with your home and your life and really get to the nitty gritty of the brief, the site environment and the timing.  There is nothing like personal contact, especially if we are going to work together!

Create

After the initial consultation I will draw up a quote and confirm the brief.  Once this has been accepted, it's time for creative juices to flow.  For a full OMG garden design, the process usually takes five stages and 6 – 8 weeks in total.  For an Order In The Border plan it’s the first and the last stages below and takes about three weeks to complete.

Creating Your Dream Garden in Five Simple Steps:

  1. Understanding Your Vision: I’ll take the time to learn about your style, preferences, and garden needs during our initial consultation.

  2. Measurement and Analysis – Here’s where I understand the size and the environment that we are working with - what will grow, how the land lies, what to frame, what to hid

  3. Conceptual Design: After gathering insights, I’ll create scaled sketches and mood boards to visualize your ideas.

  4. Master Plan: A detailed masterplan will illustrate where every element will go, including plants, all the features and hardscaping, with specification of the materials to be used

  5. Working Plans: Detailed plans will allow your landscaper to quote accurately and execute the project smoothly.

  6. Planting Plan: I’ll provide a comprehensive list of recommended plants, their placement, and quantities.
